Successful candidates bring a minimum of three years experience in the development sector, show promise of becoming a leader in their field, and have potential to be a strong role model for other development professionals. The Institute for Leaders in Development is actively seeking candidates from all racial and ethnic backgrounds and from nonprofit organizations of all sizes, missions and budget ranges.

The Recruitment & Selection Process

The recruitment and selection committee reviews applications in the spring. After the first review, a select group of candidates will be contacted for an in-person interview and the final selections will be made shortly thereafter. The committee’s recommendations are forwarded to the Institute's main steering committee, which approves final selections in June. Class size is approximately 15 members.
